Samhold og mestring

Friluftsliv på en folkehøgskole handler ikke bare om å utfordre seg selv fysisk, men også om å skape minner for livet sammen med nye venner. Det å sove ute i telt og dele måltider rundt bålet skaper et unikt fellesskap.

Før snøen kommer, bruker vi føttene for å nå topper på Vestlandet. Turene varierer fra dagsturer med lett sekk til lengre ekspedisjoner med telt og sovepose, hvor vi etablerer basecamp og utforsker omgivelsene. Du vil også delta på brekurs for å få tilgang til mer utilgjengelige topper. En viktig del av året vil også være klatring og buldring, både utendørs og innendørs, hvor du lærer om taubruk, sikringsteknikker og klatreutstyr.

Du vil få kunnskap om kart og kompass, førstehjelp, teltliv, og lære å mestre krevende værforhold. Dette vil derfor være temaer gjennom hele året. Om høsten reiser vi på surfetur til Hoddevika.

On this journey, we’ll travel through several countries by train and boat – an adventurous and enriching way to explore Europe. Along the way, we’ll visit both vibrant cities and quieter mountain areas, giving us the chance to experience local culture and nature up close.

We begin the trip by train through Germany and Austria, arriving in the charming alpine town of Innsbruck. Here, we’ll have time to explore the mountains on foot and with climbing gear before continuing on to Arco in Northern Italy – known for its climbing scene and stunning natural surroundings.

In Arco, we’ll spend several days developing our skills in climbing, hiking, and Via Ferrata. We’re also planning a day trip to the Dolomites, where we’ll challenge ourselves on airy routes in one of Europe’s most iconic mountain ranges.

This trip is perfect for those who want to learn more about climbing and outdoor life, while experiencing diverse landscapes and being part of an inclusive community. No prior climbing experience is necessary – just curiosity, determination, and a desire to join a journey that’s out of the ordinary.

Bli kjent tur til Fjærland

Hele skolen drar til Fjærland, en perle ved Sognefjorden, der vi virkelig blir kjent med hverandre. I dette unike landskapet, omgitt av bre og fjord, bor vi like ved den vakre Fjærlandsfjorden. Her går vi på fjellturer, padler kajakk og er sammen. Denne turen handler om fellesskap og å knytte bånd fra første dag. Du får oppleve Vestlandet på sitt aller vakreste med en gang du starter på skolen.

Between towering mountains and the deep Sognefjord, everything is set for a year filled with experiences, personal growth, and lifelong friendships.
